Celebrating a Milestone: A Special Birthday for a Special Member Patient

This week, we’re celebrating a remarkable milestone for one of our patients who turned 70 years old. For weeks, he faced homelessness, living on the streets and waiting for housing. Despite the hardships, he always trusted Exemplar Care Mulberry St. Clinic for his medical needs.

When our team learned that he was admitted to the hospital and feeling down, they went above and beyond. Knowing how important this day was, they organized a special surprise—a box of cupcakes and a heartfelt card signed by our dedicated staff.

Our Mulberry Street clinic, part of Exemplar Care located behind Central Iowa Shelter and Services (CISS),  is a beacon of hope for many, providing essential healthcare to the homeless and underserved populations. Our team is deeply committed to more than just medical care; we offer a supportive community and personal connections that make a real difference in our patients’ lives.

This simple act of kindness made a significant impact, brightening his day and showing him that he is, valued and remembered.
