Which patients benefit most from telehealth urgent care?

Our telemedicine option is available to all in Iowa.

Patients who are immunocompromised or have disabilities or have busy lives can benefit from our services through telemedicine urgent care. It may also be a preference in the middle of the night.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Virtual Visits?

The biggest advantage of telemedicine is convenience. Patients are able to consult from where they are, at the time they need to consult with a provider, without compromising the quality of medical care that they receive. Telemedicine also saves travel time.

Our telemedicine system and portal are secure and safe to use and all information is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Generally, patients have a better outcome when medical care is accessible and available when they need them. Through telemedicine, we bring our services even closer to our patients. The obvious disadvantage of telemedicine is the lack of direct contact. Patients cannot easily be physically examined, so for some medical cases, it may be an initial consult tool only. If your condition warrants, you might also be asked to go to our clinic personally for a follow up visit.

How do I get medical care through telehealth?

As long as you have a stable internet connection, and a computer or phone, you’re all set. To request a virtual consultation, you can request an appointment and choose telemedicine. The instructions are easy to follow, but if you are having difficulties, don’t hesitate to call us at 515-650-4370. Our staff will be more than happy to help you.
